Question for Hetas engs. re length of external Twin Wall ??

I am thinking of getting a wood burning stove installed. The Selkirk twin wall installation guide says i need to have 2.3m above the gutters if the roof is 45deg so that the top of chimney is horizontally 2.3m from the roof. Is this required in practise, 2.3m seems very high??

Height of external twin wall flue ???

Selkirk say that the twin wall flue should extend 2.3m above the guttering to give 2.3m distance from the roof surface, if the roof is 45deg slope. My neighbor has a boiler outlet coming through the roof which is only 1m and the roof is 45deg, so it can only be 1m from the roof surface. What is...

Help needed with Neutral to Earth short

It looks like TN-S, the earth exits the main feed in cable and goes seperately into the house under the floorboard level, Live and Neutral going to the switch box. Ok, so 240V between live and earth is ok, so that is not a problem. I have checked the switched output to the ceiling light...

Help needed with Neutral to Earth short

Metrix meter, set to auto ranging ohms. The reason i started looking at this problem is because i fitted a new bulb into a ceiling light that has not been used for a while and it blew the bulb. So i measured the wiring to the light and it had 240V between live and earth. But i have lots of...

Potterton Profile 60E, pressure switch not switching.

Tubes are fine, no kinks, aluminium pipes between flue and pressure switch have no leaks, its a mystery. Is it possible the fans lose power with age?
