    Lighting problem

They are from John Lewis and look exactly the same as these but polished brass and not brushed brass. http://www.johnlewis.com/Lighting/Lighting/Lighting+Accessories/+Light+Switches+/2115/230231654/Product.aspx

    Lighting problem

Those 2 links to switches are no good as the switches I am looking for are all brass. So the actual switch has to be brass too. I'll try a few shops today to see what I can find.

    Lighting problem

One more quick question. Its seem difficult to find a 20A DP in polished brass without neon. Would I be able to buy the neon one and use it without the neon? Would the wiring be a straight swap or are the neon switch plates different to the plates without neon?

    Lighting problem

Yeah I can. I don't believe the fan would be connected to the light because the fan has its own switch.

On the front it just looks like a normal light switch with no writing on it. On the back it says 250v 20A and there is an arrow that points both ways between L2 and N2 that says LOAD.

    Lighting problem

Those L N and E go straight into the ceiling once the plate is removed. So theres nothing under the plate. I assume the wires join straight to the switch but I can't understand where all the other wires have come from on the switch.

    Lighting problem

Nothing else switches on. Only the lights. There are other things in the bathroom but they all have their own switches. Would I be able to swap the DP switch to a single standard swith that only has com,L1 and L2?

    Lighting problem

There is an extractor fan in the bathroom too, but thats controlled by a different switch. The light switch isn't a pullcord. The light looks like a ceiling rose but it has 2 bulb holders inside it.
