many thanks m8 for the help. are all sounders the same layout..

not showing any faults at all, Iv just been up and took the box cover off and took out the wires for the bell, I noticed that one of the strobe wires was out, do you thing this might be the problem. TJ.

any help would be very greatfull.. I have had this alarm for about 15 years. problem is that the outside sounder is going off by its self. not taken it down yet just thought a would ask first. if its a new unit or can it be sorted. whots the live span of the battery in the sounder...
