    Toilet cistern not refilling properly

The toilet has suddenly stopped refilling, but water is spraying from the plastic at a very high pressure, creating a fine mist so it would probably fill up eventually! When I lifted up the lever then the spraying stopped so I have filled up the cistern with a bucket for now. Any advice...

    Glow worm 24cxi leaking water

There is very little room so I had the same idea about the nut on the pipe work - it is really easy to get to and would definitely have allowed me to move things to get the flow sensor out. One problem though! When I came to turn the water off at the mains it wouldn't completely stop the...

    Glow worm 24cxi leaking water

I give up. I can't undo the brass nut above the cold water inlet valve, it just won't budge and I'm worried about damaging the pipes because they are moving under the force of me trying to turn the nut. At least I tried! Thanks for all your help.

    Glow worm 24cxi leaking water

Thanks for everyones help so far :D There are instructions for replacing a flow sensor in the manual. Is this relevant to the flow switch? If so I'll replace it - assuming I can get hold of one. Copied and pasted from the manual off their website: Part 2000801910 14.22 Flow Sensor...

    Glow worm 24cxi leaking water

UPDATE I have taken the filter out and undone the clips for the filter housing and the filler-tap and had a look inside - doesn't look like anything obvious. There was a ring at the top of the filter but it definitely isn't leaking from there and the filter was in mint condition. So I...

    Glow worm 24cxi leaking water

A couple of years ago the internal filling valve on my Glow worm 24cxi had stuck and I fixed it myself (with help from here :) ). Now I've got a new problem - a leak, mainly dripping off the bottom of DCW isolation valve. It appears to be coming from around the back of the securing clip...

    Corgi - gas fire removal

Hi, I need to get an old gas fire removed that was here when I moved in and then I want to plaster over where it was rather than replace it. The gas pipe comes up underneath the fire and it has a shut-off tap on it. If I get a Corgi to disconnect the gas from the fire and make the...

Glowworm24cxi at 0.3 bar - Blue fill tap does not work!

No silicone grease at BnQ and the local hardware shop have ordered it in for Thursday, but I decided to just go ahead for now and if and when it sticks again I'll use the grease. Anyway - it was very straight forward. I could see the valve was stuck and I unstuck it with the screw-driver. I...

Thanks Tony. I'll definitely be using your suggestion of the silicone grease.

Glowworm24cxi at 0.3 bar - Blue fill tap does not work!

Sorry Agile, I meant is replacing the existing filling loop assembly to stop it sticking in future? Not fitting a standalone loop as jonseyrs suggested.

Glowworm24cxi at 0.3 bar - Blue fill tap does not work!

Thanks Tony, so the replacement filling loop is to hopefully stop it sticking in future. I'll have a go with those instructions and hopefully it won't need refilling for a good while! Just wanted to check those instructions were right for the cxi as well as the ci Thanks for the tip about the...

Glowworm24cxi at 0.3 bar - Blue fill tap does not work!

My boiler is a Glow worm 24cxi. I bled two radiators which were cold at the top last night and this morning the pressure was at 0.3 bar which is below the minimum operational pressure. The blue tap that operates the built-in filling loop does not let water into the system. :( I noticed...
