Before you say coolant tank cover is missing..its not was checking coolant level

Well problem still there ..noticed it happens when really cold like temperature in the minuses..happened first thing in morning..is this a ect sensor in pic? Its just below the fuel filter..see pic. Also where is the cooling fan relay located? Can't see it in engine bay by battery ..I see one...

Ok guys sorry been busy..this problem comes and goes been fine since until yesterday..fan kicked in ...everything normal ect temperature. Good nothing abnormal..question obd reading which coolant sensor? I understand that there are 2 ect sensors?..is this the second one by the fuel filter on...

Ok I just bought a obd reader will be getting it in a few dsys...will do the checks as recommended...today it drove absolutely no problems heating all good..no fan came on..weird lol probably when temperature is freezing then it happens ‍♂️

Unfortunately not got the reader anymore...gonna change the sensors myself..doesn't look very difficult..think ill change the one on the side of the engine block just below the air housing...are both sensors the same?

Battery is fine..its a brand new varta battery..yes it has electric power steering. To be honest it was probably just me cos I was turning steering in lock and unlocked positions whilst trying to park in a tight spot..

Yes it moves as normal when driving..heating is fine.. Think only 1 fan not sure . No just normal service about a month ago..oil, oil filter and air filter changed. Im not a mechanic dont hsve a reader. Never really tried turning it off and on ..will try next time. The fan never comes...

Thanks..looks like a job for garage i normally take my car too...it starts and drives fine. Coolant levels are all good...

Happened again just now coming home from gym..cold start..I also noticed while parking the car reversing and going forward in a tight spot the PAS isn't very smooth when turning the steering? Its got a kind of jerky movement to it?

Hi got a golf mk 6 1.6tdi. From cold start after a few minutes the engine cooling fan comes on and keeps running. The temperature gauge barely moves . Air con is off..the car is not doing a dpf regen. No engine management lights are on and the car drives fine as normal. This happens...

Hi guys ..outside my bedroom on ground floor there's a drain pipe from roof guttering. When it rains I can hear tap..tap..tap..tap noise. Like water is dripping onto plastic window cill..went outside no leaks or drips..closer inspection I noticed sound is inside drain pipe.. so I'm thinking...

No the 2 gang doesn't switch it on or off.one switch in 2 gang is for bedroom which works fine. The other is for light in hallway. Basically, the switch doesnt turn light on or off regardless if light is on...I have to go through hallway and to the kitchen to turn light on or off...
