    Allen keys?.

Hello there, I would be grateful if someone could point me towards a source for a good quality set of long arm T-handled Imperial allen keys. I have a nice set of Facom metric ones, looking for something like them.

Many thanks for the link, I had a couple of bits of allthread and made up a practice jig, it works a treat. :D

    Cutting worktop curve.

Hello again, I have a good offcut from an oak stave worktop and plan to make a small table with it. I've no problems with masons mitres, fixing bolts, hotrods, etc using the standard jigs but am a wee bit lost here without a jig. I've made a curved corner template and assumed I'd clamp it on...

Don't like the sound of the "sawdust" bit, are you sure it's not riddled with woodworm?.

    SWA cable sizes.

I did search before posting but didn't find the info. Found it now though in the little lists below some old posts. :)

    SWA cable sizes.

Hello again, What do the figures 6mm, 10mm etc refer to when sizing SWA cables?. The mains cable going into the house measures about 12mm in diameter, 2 core, what rating would that likely be?. And what OD would a "10mm" rated cable be?.? Thinking about get a power supply put into the garage...

    Carpages.co.uk?

Hi, I've been browsing for a particular car and found one not far away on carpages.co.uk. "awaiting photo" with the name of the dealership and a phone number (not a landline). Turns out the garage doesn't have the car and haven't had that model in at least 18 months. They think it may be a...

    Cutting a bullnose.

Thanks Dave, I had a look at the powerfile last night and did suspect it might be too quick for comfort even on slow speed. I have a new 2nd cut which I'll try out this morning on an offcut.

    Cutting a bullnose.

Many thanks to you all, as usual invaluable advice and food for thought which always helps to turn on the rather dim lightbulb in the head!. Harbourwoodwork - Good idea about running the router on the face of the worktop to do the bottom corner, it's a half inch dewalt with a baseplate...

    Cutting a bullnose.

Hi, I'd like to cut a full bullnose profile on 40mm solid wood kitchen worktops. Two of them are joined in a corner and can't readily be turned over. I'm looking at a Carbitool bull nose radius bit to do top and bottom in one pass. Does the bearing need a guide under the worktop to run...

    Woodfit.

Ordered a few bits on Tuesday afternoon, they phoned first thing Wed. to say they had gone into liquidation overnight. Shame , they had a lot of useful stuff. I can't find the 2mm thick cupboard hanging rails they had anywhere else.

    Worktop/cabinet depth alteration.

Thanks alan333, that's a good thought. I could rip a couple of lengths off an old top to space the worktop away from the wall before tiling, or maybe use an upstand.

    Worktop/cabinet depth alteration.

Many thanks for all that, glad to hear the problem is just a consequence of not being able to afford a bespoke kitchen. Just for info it's in a new build extension and having done most of the work myself the walls are flat and vertical, and due to good planning there is only one vertical waste...

    Worktop/cabinet depth alteration.

Hi, With 570mm deep cabinets plus 20mm doors and using 600mm worktop, there is (obviously!) only 10mm of worktop overhang at the front of the cabinets. It doesn't look quite right. The simple solution would be to take off 10 or 15mm from the cabinet sides to let them sit back a bit. They're...

    Miles tools.

Hi, I've been looking for a Makita BDF452 drill/driver.That model must be discontinued, the only place I can find is Miles tool and machinery centre in Yeovil. Just wondering if anyone has had dealings with them please?. Edit:- Now I've come across another 1 or 2 sellers but again names I...

Stihl Ms 180c Oil feed Chewed worm drive

Funny, I can't see a photo!. If this model does have a wire driving the worm, there is a tiny cut out in the edge of the clutch drum that the wire must engage into. If it doesn't, I suppose it could jam the worm.

    Oil tank base regs.

Thanks, but I only really want to know where I should be leaving a space for the oil tank base. Distance from house wall, boundary wooden fence etc.

    Oil tank base regs.

Hi, Are the regs for distances for siting an oil tank the same in scotland as in england please?.
