My Boiler was fixed by BG 2 monsth ago when it wouldn't light and kept making the sparking noise. As suggested on here it was a blocked pilot injector....BG blew it clean, ran some water through it and all was fine. Now 2 months later it lights fine first time still, ignition spark stops...

BG did the service and replaced the PCB so all good. Only concern was he said something about this wire doesn't seem to do anything so I won't reconnect it! All working OK and was the 7 wire PCB. Would it all work OK if that wire was meant to be connected it was on the original! Thanks

They're coming next week so they shouldn't say can't get! Thanks all for help. I'll let you know what BG say. BG said as I have heat and hot water not urgent, suppose that OK as I am ok and noise only if switched off at mains.

OK so it is a new PCB. This will be fun as it is covered by BG who claim they cannot get any parts for it at last service! But there are plenty online from what I can see. If I hadn't turned the power off I'd have never known as it only does it when the mains power is switched off / on.

Is that something that can be fixed or is the PCB about to fail? Also if I never turn it off it won't happen as far as I can see!? Thanks again

Yes bathroom upstairs, house built in 2001....maybe no lights were on RCD originally is that more likely like EFLImpudence said? In 2001 would only sockets be on RCD and builder of garage conversion has moved downstairs lights to RCD? The garage had 8 spot lights installed and 4 sockets...
