    Shower pump

I believe a Surrey flange is designed for the top of the tank whereas an Essex is a 'new' dedicated tap into the cylinder. Here's my Techflange feeding a loft mounted pump. You can see the anti gravity loop too. Hope this helps.

    Shower pump

You have the same set up as me. Use a dedicated feed from the side of the cylinder to feed the hot water to the pump. A techflange is a good idea as the pipe bends upwards into the cylinder to maximize the use of the hot water within. As far as pumps are concerned, I think you get what you pay...

    Salamander 2Bar Pump

Is it a new pump? The reason I ask is I have recently had a Salamander pump fitted and the flexi hoses are not 15mm, they are 22mm.

Salamander Shower Pump, Delay in Operation

I have a delay in mine, usually about 4-5 seconds first shower in the morning after the shower hasn't been used for the longest period. Mine is a new installation and I had a problem with 'water bounce' where the pump 'pulsed' on and off when we shut off a hot water tap elsewhere in the...

    Shower Pump Problem

I was wrong. They sent me a neat little non-return valve that fitted onto the thread of the pump hot outlet. Not a big job as the connectors have isolators. Problem solved.

    Shower Pump Problem

Hi the kitchen sink tap is a modern type lever hot/cold mixer, so it's far easier to shut off too quickly than a traditional type tap. I notice that this problem happens as a result of using this tap far more readily. The other taps in the house are 'turn the knob'. I think the pump has flow...

    Shower Pump Problem

Hi, thanks for your comments. The pump does have a loft mounted option, (Salamander) and I have consulted them over the correct installation several times. The pump has a dedicated Essex flange feed from the HWC. Just to clarify, the showers and the pump work fine, only when a domestic...

    Shower Pump Problem

We have just had a new loft mounted shower pump to feed our 2 Mira Showers. All is well they work fine. What we have found however is that when we use then turn off some of the hot water taps in the house quickly, the pump starts to pulse. We have to then run the shower for a couple of seconds...
