    Broken Tap

Not sure what you mean? I would need to provide proof of purchase for that specific item if they ask. Anyway, aside from that option which I don't think is a goer, is the tap easily fixable?[/i]

    Blocking off chimneys

Hi, I have 6 chimney pots and can see daylight if I look up one of the fireplaces, also rain is dripping down to the fireplaces as well as the house being very draughty in winter. I only use one of the fireplaces for a Log effect gas fire so can I get something inexpensive which caps off...

    Decking stain quick question

I need some decking stain and it only comes in tins big enough for 30 sq metres at least at B&Q and focus. My decking covers an area of 6 sq metres at the most, bearing in mind that leftover paint never keeps in sheds, I would be wasting 3/4 of the tin! talk about wasteful, does anybody know...

    Cracks in pebbledash

Hi, I am noticing long cracks appearing in our white painted pebbledashed exterior over the last year, the latest running from the ground across to an upstairs window. Is this simple to repair or is this indicative of something more serious i.e. subsidence? Also, why are they appearing...

    Patio cleaning question

Hi, I have powerhosed my brick patio to get rid of the weeds/moss growing between the bricks. There are now gaps in places, I understand I need to sweep in sand which will harden and fill the gaps. My question is the bricks lie on sharp sand so should I sweep similar sand in or would...

    Repairing concrete window sills

That sounds far too 'expert' for me to attempt !!! Would anything other than house movement cause the break? the other sills seem to have the break in the same place i.e. right in the middle of the sill. Also, would flexible filler not move with the broken bricks then if it is just gradual...
