Could also be venturi in fan,on some early models some can be cleaned without removing the fan.

just slacken nut until water starts to come out then tighten back up.

This boiler is exactly like the vokera compact 24 with the bithermic H/Exch. Which is probally leaking.

Domestic Heat Exchanger needs bleeding white in color bleed nut on top 10mm spanner-probally venturis blocked causing flame to drop out.

Does it have a pluming kit fitted?

Yes one as the blue ign box attached to gas valve 1837. And the newer one is on the pcb 10028891.

Automatic air vent could be leaking, expansion vessel probally lost its charge. check for water coming out of dishcharge pipe outside, you can easy check to see if system as a leak,fill boiler to 1.5bar then turn heating valves off under boiler left hand side 13mm spanner,leave for an hour or...

When they fitted new HE, did they clean the two flexible pipes L/H side of boiler? these can get blocked with crap from system and cause it to kettle or overheat.

Maybe venturi on the HE model, can't see it being that on this boiler, and there is no plate HE. The main HE is known as a bithermic HE split into two parts with h/w running in one half heating in the other.
