thought of that but i've got a switch on either side of the socket so adapter will not fit in!!!

o.k. guys. i've got a british kettle with standard 3 wires. socket is the type with only 2 holes. bought replacement 2-pin plug but don't know what to do with the earth wire? should i even be attempting this? any ideas? thanks.
