    Where to place decking lights?

Thanks, that makes sense about the glare. I will then just space them out evenly where possible.

    Where to place decking lights?

What is the best arrangement for LED deck lights? My wife wants light on top of deck to highlight the edge but also some on the front to highlight the step. What is the best way to place the lights, equal distance between each is what I had in mind but how to light the step?

T&E from CU to outdoor Wiska box.

I could run it straight if I attach it to the joists. The room the CU is in has a concrete floor, but there is plastic conduit along the bottom of floor attached to wall that was used for old electrical cable for storage heaters. I can the run conduit along the joists starting at the hole...

    Hidden pipe radiator.

The more I look at it the more push fit makes no sense. The reason I didn't want to go with the Manthorpe was to reduce the number of connections, now I've got loads. Surely the more connections the increased risk of a leak?

    Hidden pipe radiator.

Honestly, at this point i feel this is something I need to learn. Out of all the DIY stuff plumbing is the thing I'm not confident doing.

He's my Father in laws neighbour. He recommended him. I had totally forgot about chrome pipe. I assume it will be cheap covers then.

    Hidden pipe radiator.

He fitted the studs and has marked the floor so I assume he's measured it for the radiator bracket. He says to contact him once finished to fit rad.

    Hidden pipe radiator.

I didn't specify what I wanted. I assumed it would all be soldered copper. Heating is pressured and no leaks.

T&E from CU to outdoor Wiska box.

Hi, Thanks for the responses. The T&E will be inside and terminated at the external junction box. This will eventually feed to another small CU via SWA to run 2 different circuits, one for lights and one for sockets. The new circuit is notifiable once we go ahead and start the landscaping and...

    Hidden pipe radiator.

So we got someone out to fit the new pipes for radiator, pipes coming out from cavity. What do you think of job? Is this the best way to do it? Cost was £90 for parts and I think it was about 2 hours.

T&E from CU to outdoor Wiska box.

Hi, Looking to run some T&E from CU to external wiska box. Shortest route is under the floor and out to external wall. We are replacing kitchen floor soon and while access is there I want to get cable to external junction. I plan on cutting an access panel under the unit nearest external...

Full skim or just fill and smooth?

Hi, So stripped back this wall, 5 layers later including woodchip. Loads of raw plugs removed. Should I skim coat it or just fill and smooth?

    Hidden pipe radiator.

Yeah, I think the less connection in the cavity the better. Going to go with copper pipes coming out the wall, something like this.

Fixing this window frame and sill.

I mixed up some mortar yesterday and tried my best to make a base for a window board. Found out the middle of the wall has a low spot, so need to get that level later. I think it came out ok, once i bond and skim the walk hopefully it will be all come together.

    Hidden pipe radiator.

I've seen this product, do you think this would work. Could the pipes come up from the bottom and into cavity then out of this connector?

    Tap keeps flowing back!

Thanks for the advice, I thought a new tap would be needed. I agree poor design when paired with this sink vanity unit.

    Tap keeps flowing back!

Got this installed along with new bathroom last year. The tap is a nightmare, if the flow is slow it runs back on itself, soaking the vanity unit. Is it just this type if tap or can i adjust the angle to stop it flowing back?

Fixing this window frame and sill.

I removed the window trim and sill during decorating, we had a major draft coming through. All around the window was just gaps, no proper insulation. So a lot of wall and sill just crumbled away. What is best method to fix? I expanded foam around the window with low expansion foam. Was...
