    Trianco activair?

I'm also considering an unvented cylinder in the roofspace, as I don't deal with these yet (haven't yet got the required ACS) can anyone point me in the right directions regarding the regs for siting it in the roofspace please? Cheers Al

    Trianco activair?

Cheers B Interesting reading, I will have to do the math regarding the electrical running costs, see if it's going to be beneficial. Al

    Trianco activair?

Firstly, I hope everyone had a very merry christmas! I was a little busy with ACS reassessment just before so couldn't say it then. Anyway, has anyone had any experience with the Trianco Activair heat pumps? http://www.trianco.co.uk/activair.cfm Once our Sonya Duvall guarantee expires...

    Landlords Gas Safety Checks

I heard from a sparks i know about the electrial check being every tenancy change but it hadn't been made clear to him if it was private landlords or councils etc

    Landlords Gas Safety Checks

quite possibly correct, I'm sure I saw in a recent Gas Installer that it only required a visual inspection on change of tenancy, they had an artical regarding LGSC. Will try and dig it out. But I suppose if CORGI (please read GOD) say it must be so then... it must be

    Glow Worm ?@&*$

Well I now have a very similar opinion of them! Shall not be touching them with a barge pole1 I've only installed 1 GW, in the past 12 months, may replace the hdroblock to be safe, hate having customers phoning with problems.

    Hunter Genova

Not 100% certain on the spelling but hey. Just wondering if anyone knows where I can acquire some adaptors to go to copper? Have come across Polypipes version but not Hunter before. Cheers Al

    Landlords Gas Safety Checks

Cheers Tony, thats what I thought but CORGI threw a spanner in the works by stating a new one was require. Unless they meant that the new tenant must have a copy of the current cert. Cheers again Al

    Glow Worm ?@&*$

Just a follow up on a prevoius thread of mine. A bquick catch up for everyone. A GW 24cxi, left hand hydroblock spewing water, replace last friday (a pig of a job), left boiler running for half an hour tested hot water numerous times etc etc, everything was hunky dory. Phone call...

    Landlords Gas Safety Checks

I was under the impression that landlord safety checks are to be carried out annually and certs issued accordingly, is this correct? I am querying this as i have heard on the grapevine (from CORGI) that LGSC should be carried out and certs issued at every change of tenant. I do a visual...

    W.B DIVERTER 28 CDI

Totally agree, the hot water outlet pipe is a little dodgy, I've actually just replaced a 24CDi dv valve, got home about an hour ago, took hour and a half plus half hour test time and cuppa. Don't think that was to bad for first 24CDI dv. No major problems just a case of paying attention to...

its the customers who should be on the telly as well

I always do my best to ensure appliances work before I do anything to them. Been cayghtout before. As for £250 for a pump change, whether is was zimmers or what he read in the papers, that is disgusting, if pump valves are good then I generally charge around £100-120 dependant on the travel...

gap between showr tray & wall

Personally I would go for number 3, least amount of work in the long run. Large beads of silicone can look unsightly and slithers of flat tile can leak after a while. I'd say a small gap but not tight. Al

    Glo worm 24cxi

I don't mean to go on, but..... the new part has sprung a leak  it's leaking from where the boffs at GW have redsigned the block, where the copper bend enters the HW HE connection, in my eyes a manufacturing fault. And on a bloody saturday too  Another rant over...

    Glo worm 24cxi

Well I've changed the block today, and everyone was 100% correct, the screws on the underside rounded off (2 came out with relative ease though) the last one- what a @?%&$*!!!! Ended up cutting the screw head off, and what moron chose to put it directly above the flow pipe!? Also found out my...
