I need to join a new 22mm copper pipe to an incoming main which has got written on it - Qualplast 1972 1/2". It is a black plastic pipe. The o.d of the pipe is just under an inch. This implies a fairly large wall thickness, assuming the internal diameter is 1/2". Have I got this right...
