    Hi, I have this white textured material above the front door which is flaking away having been on for donkeys years. Does anybody have any advice on how to repair it please, or suggestions for an alternative finish if I were to strip it all off? Thank you.

    Apologies as I posted this also in the building section. On one side of my house the plasterboard panels have disbonded from the breeze blocks in each room. In the pics below this is the worse room and you can push the whole wall in like a huge sail by about 1". Has anyone experienced this...

    I have these wooden windows and i'm sure they are designed to open more than they do as some neighbours have had theirs wide open, 1st pic shows how much they open currently and the second shows the mechanism, it just wont go past the point shown in the 2nd pic, any ideas what is wrong?

    Is this definately not a DIY job then? Without sounding like i'm answering my own question I thought it might be possible using the often mentioned 'push fit' connection type and some flexible plastic pipe. But I didn't know whether these can be added to cut copper pipe.

    Well the new Input Stat and Thermal Link arrived yesterday and we fitted them this afternoon. Power is switched back on at the wall, so fingers crossed for some heat in the morning!
