    I haven't used a self-adhesive vinyl border before and wonder if anyone has any advice to complete a neat job. I do seem to remember comments about it not sticking properly to the surface - this is going over vinyl wallpaper and painted wall to finish job.

    Yep. I should have explained that this is a shower bath so there is a curve in the panel - such that when both ends are fitted it pops out in the middle - hence my belief that the problem is that the panel needs trimming. How?
