Thanks for the speedy reply I thought it may have something to do with the different PCB but the fan doesnt seem to be running constantly, just for about 5 minutes after demand has stopped then it stops.

I am replacing old damaged floorboards in a room with T&G chipboard flooring the prolem is the chipboard is 22mm and the floorboards are 24mm, I am having to leave the old floorboards at the wall, so must pack up the difference. Does anybody have any ideas as to a 2 mm packing material? Thanks...

Central heating now working ok after a I eventually told the heating engineer that I thought the problem was the diverter valve ( after advise from people on this forum) so he replaced it, this whole episode has cost me a total of £697 £180 for the replacement pump ( experts origonal diagnosis)...

Nice to know ive been ripped off by another reputable corgi registered expert in who we should all trust. Anyway the flow pipe from the boiler to the central heating supply gets hot 55 degrees plus the return pipe from the central is cold to warmish the pump inlet and outlet are hot 55 degrees...

:x The invoice for the fitting of this boiler is dated 14/03/04 it also states supply & fit Potterton combi 80, the instructions manual supplied is for a Potterton combi 80 so in answer to your question I would say "yes I have quoted the correct boiler model"

The boiler is a potterton combi 80 and was installed 4 years ago

Thanks for getting back so quick Gasguru. I isolated the cold water to the boiler as you suggested but did not find any difference in the temp of the return pipe (still barely warm) the inlet pipe to the closest radiator is hot but the outlet pipe is cold this is after the power flush.

Potterton combi 80 boiler, radiators not all getting hot sometimes none getting hot, the primary flow pipe from the boiler gets very hot but the return pipe at the boiler stays cold or barely warm. Plumber called initially and he replaced the pump £180, no better so he suggested that the system...
