    Thanks for the speedy reply I thought it may have something to do with the different PCB but the fan doesnt seem to be running constantly, just for about 5 minutes after demand has stopped then it stops.

    T&G chipboard flooring

    I am replacing old damaged floorboards in a room with T&G chipboard flooring the prolem is the chipboard is 22mm and the floorboards are 24mm, I am having to leave the old floorboards at the wall, so must pack up the difference.     Central heating now working ok after a I eventually told the heating engineer that I thought the problem was the diverter valve ( after advise from people on this forum) so he replaced it, this whole episode has cost me a total of £697 £180 for the replacement pump ( experts origonal diagnosis)...

    :x The invoice for the fitting of this boiler is dated 14/03/04 it also states supply & fit Potterton combi 80, the instructions manual supplied is for a Potterton combi 80 so in answer to your question I would say "yes I have quoted the correct boiler model"

    Thanks for getting back so quick Gasguru. I isolated the cold water to the boiler as you suggested but did not find any difference in the temp of the return pipe (still barely warm) the inlet pipe to the closest radiator is hot but the outlet pipe is cold this is after the power flush.
