Can you use a soil manifold without a WC?

Thanks for the reply Madrab. To expand a little on what I said above, the toilet that is going to be removed joins the foul drain through the floor. The drainage system is quite extensive with multiple foul and rain water drains going into it - it's a combined system since the house was built...

Can you use a soil manifold without a WC?

I'm in the process of planning a kitchen install and I have access to a soil pipe where an old toilet was. I'm hoping to use a soil manifold to connect the kitchen sink, washing machine, dishwasher etc but won't be connecting a toilet to it. Is it ok just to cap the top of the soil manifold...

Additional ensuite, 2 existing bathrooms with combi boiler?

Like I said above, the existing two showers work satisfactorily together at the moment. I can cope with the fact that I can only use 2 simultaneously if that is the only issue. My main concern is that the boiler is in the cellar and the new shower will be in the attic. Do you foresee any...

Additional ensuite, 2 existing bathrooms with combi boiler?

Cold water pressure is 60psi. I should have said that it's impossible to get an electric cable to where I want the shower. Otherwise, that would've been a good solution.

Additional ensuite, 2 existing bathrooms with combi boiler?

Hi, I already know that the ideal solution is not a combi boiler for this amount of bathrooms and that a separate hot water tank would be much better. That being said, I just want to know whether what I want to do will work. I have a Worcester Bosch greenstar 37cdi in the cellar and want to...

Intergas HRE 28/24 Hot Water Only Warm

Yep, that is all filled in (I assume) correctly. I can provide this info if it will be of any help in this situation. :) Thanks. EDIT: Just to update. I tried adjusting the cold flow rate using the blue valve under the boiler but it was virtually impossible to get the flow rate to 10 lpm...

Intergas HRE 28/24 Hot Water Only Warm

Thanks Razor, that's kind of what I would've expected. So, it's a better idea to reduce the flow at the boiler then rather than the stop tap. Is it going to be best to go with Dan's original idea of a flow restrictor then? Can someone point me in the right direction of where to get one...

Intergas HRE 28/24 Hot Water Only Warm

I did say COMPARED to the Ideal Isar ;-)

Intergas HRE 28/24 Hot Water Only Warm

Thanks for all the advice, Dan included. Might just leave the stop tap reducing the flow for now and see how it goes. Just for background sake we have come from an Ideal Isar so we kind of expected the Intergas to be a Rolls Royce :-) Thanks again.

Intergas HRE 28/24 Hot Water Only Warm

Not moaning, perfectly happy with the flow the boiler can cope with. Just not happy that my installer hasn't done what I view as a necessary thing by restricting the flow so that I can fully open my hot taps. Thanks for that Jeff, that's what I was hoping I would be able to do. I assume that...

Intergas HRE 28/24 Hot Water Only Warm

Thanks for your helpful post. I am frustrated because I haven't come across this problem before in any of the houses I have owned before. Would it be an acceptable solution to reduce the flow of cold water entering the boiler using the isolation valve on the cold feed below the boiler? At...

Intergas HRE 28/24 Hot Water Only Warm

Wow. I have no idea who you are Dan or what I have done to offend you but I will address your points anyway: Not really. Nope! If I only partially open the taps in my house the hot water causes the tap washer to swell and the tap turns itself off. Turn it on again, same thing happens. Turn it...

Intergas HRE 28/24 Hot Water Only Warm

Hi all, I would really appreciate some help if possible. I have just had the above boiler fitted and I am finding that at full flow, the hot water only gets warm. I told my installer about this and his solution was to not turn the taps on full! Needless to say, I wasn't impressed with his...

Boiler pressure drops to 0 over a couple of days!

I'm not fearful of calling someone out, I just wanted to know as much as I could first. The guy I have used in the past said even a basic repair with replacement parts would be £200. Just didn't want to waste money on something that is going to go wrong continually. Cheers for all the...

Boiler pressure drops to 0 over a couple of days!

I know what you mean Chris and I will of course get someone to have a look and quote for fixing it before resorting to a new boiler but after reading some of the horror stories on here re the Vokera Linea boilers I don't want to just waste money on a poor boiler.

Boiler pressure drops to 0 over a couple of days!

I've not had chance to take the cover off of the boiler yet but I have had some additional problems since last posting. For some reason, when the boiler is heating the hot water, it also warms the radiators - odd but not alarming. More worrying was last night. First time the CH has been...

Boiler pressure drops to 0 over a couple of days!

Hi Chris, Thanks for the suggestion. I do have the instruction & installation manuals which is handy. I've been putting off taking the cover off of the boiler and having a look but I think that is the next logical step. Once I've done this I will post back with any extra info I find...

Any more advice? Is it worth adding some Fernox leak sealer? Please help! Thanks.

Boiler pressure drops to 0 over a couple of days!

Hi Guys, Right, I thought I'd post an update after having followed doitall's advice. The PRV isn't leaking, neither are any of the radiators. It would appear that the leak is coming from the boiler itself, evidenced by a dried water mark under the boiler! Having said that, it no longer...

Boiler pressure drops to 0 over a couple of days!

Thanks, I'll try that. But like I said above, would I not notice a leak sufficient enough to reduce the boiler pressure to 0 in just 2 days?
