    Alpha CB28 won't behave - I'm so cold...

Looking at the service manual, it says pump runs and fan runs at max speed (yes) which I believe it does. The next part of the check is air pressure switch proved? Am I checking the voltage across the switch? Is it worth me trying a new PCB? It's not doing anything but the yellow B LED 5...

    Alpha CB28 won't behave - I'm so cold...

Hi, Alpha CB28 had water diverted fitted two weeks ago. Red and yellow lights on yesterday indicated a non running fan. My plumber came out and pressed down on a relay on the board and the boiler kicked into life. Coming home, and it's not firing up. It now shows the usual yellow...

    Refitting kitchen taps

Hi, Sorry, yes I have a combi boiler. I occasionally have to top up the water in the combi by turning two valves (one clockwise and the other counter clockwise). Is one of these used to drain down the combi. I was hoping I don't need to do that. Cheers, Lee

    New spurs?

Should also clarify, that the cabling is the original, red, black and earth I am using newer cabling for the extension pieces, ie. brown, blue and earth. I tried to put it all as the same in the original post to save any confusion, but ended up doing so anyway ! Cheers, Lee

    New spurs?

Hi, Thanks for all the replies. I had intended to bury the choc blocks in the wall (I've only used these to join cabling together, where neccesary). Would I be best leaving these accessible? Are these considered to be a poor way to extend cabling? Is there a better way I should use? I...
