Mira 415: cartridge change

Hi,

I have a Mira 415 which is supplied by my Worcester boiler. I've recently purchases a new cartridge, but wondered what I need to switch off to stop the water peeing all over when I open up the control switch.

Do I just need to switch off the mains water supply and then run the shower until the water dries up.

Sorry about the stupid questions, but I don't want to end up with a very wet bathroom...

i take it it's a combi boiler.
just turn off main stopcock if you haven't any isolation valves on the shower pipework and isolate the dhw on the boiler
