Thirty years ago, I did a lot of walking and hiking in snowdonia. Rubbish and litter was noticeable, even back then. Brown faces, not so much. In no way am I excusing littering or other antisocial behaviours, but I'm also not blind to the (uncomfortable for some) truth that it is a scum...
