Vaillant Home System 15 - F.28 Intermittent fault even after many parts have been replaced

Thats a great analogy with the car which makes perfect logical sense, I mentioned this to the BG engineers upon their visits, but of course they are following F.28 diagnosis as per their documentation and experience. I shall reach out to BG and see if I can get an engineer over to clean out...

Vaillant Home System 15 - F.28 Intermittent fault even after many parts have been replaced

No, and to be fair that’s the last thing the BG engineer mentioned it can be if it locks out again which I suspect it will soon. It’s not part of the BG service so I will need to get someone in to conduct that strip service and give a clean.

Vaillant Home System 15 - F.28 Intermittent fault even after many parts have been replaced

So the BG engineer from what I saw did test this pressure at the boiler and the Gas meter whilst using the P.01 program at 0% to 100% to ensure the pressure was correct and OK. He advised me it was. Yes it does make a slight bangon ignition attempt 2/3 or even 4 for that matter.

Vaillant Home System 15 - F.28 Intermittent fault even after many parts have been replaced

Yes that pretty much a common scenario from my logging so far, however the parts changed so far should have ensured the ignition attempts are at least 1st if not second most of the time.

Just a counter top gas cooker -I could try and test that and see what happens

Vaillant Home System 15 - F.28 Intermittent fault even after many parts have been replaced

Thats a good shout I can certainly double check that although the trap was clean and water was flowing out decently. My curiosity is more around ignition attempts still taking 2-3 times, even after all those parts have been replaced.

Vaillant Home System 15 - F.28 Intermittent fault even after many parts have been replaced

I very much doubt so being a new build, everything else works spot on.

Vaillant Home System 15 - F.28 Intermittent fault even after many parts have been replaced

No unfortunately not, its 6 years old now. Forgot to mention the HT ignition plug was replaced as a part of the Electrode. Good point on condensate exit, its hidden as its a new build, as its next to the rear main wall its probably exiting to where the outside hose pipe drain is adjacent to the...

Vaillant Home System 15 - F.28 Intermittent fault even after many parts have been replaced

Hello everyone, I'm seeking advice on a persistent issue with my boiler. Since January, I've been dealing with an F.28 error code on my Vaillant Home System 15 boiler, which requires me to reset the boiler to get it running again. Here's a summary of the repairs and checks that have been done...

Pyronix Enforcer - Siren 1 Wirls Supervn F1 Error

Thank-you, deleting and learning the Siren worked. What are the advantages of having Wireless Bell Supervision set to ON as opposed to OFF? Is it needed?

Pyronix Enforcer - Siren 1 Wirls Supervn F1 Error

Hi I had the same issue as this last night the wireless bell decided to throw a bender and start alarming at 4am. As a result I had to grab my ladder and just remove the batteries as I was half asleep. I subsequently set wireless bell supervision to Off for the future. Today I replaced the...

Vaillant home system boiler - hot water only mode.

Thank you for this explanation. So Lovell's were correct in their statement to me. Fair enough. Will I be able to upgrade to Nest/Hive/etc easily?

Vaillant home system boiler - hot water only mode.

Yes I understand that’s how it works right now, however the manual clearly states as a user, I can select modes of operation. Heating or hot water only or both. I am struggling to understand how this is customer fiddling with the system?

Vaillant home system boiler - hot water only mode.

I think you could be correct, this is what the Vaillant tech support guy said to the Builders supposedly. Hmm ok

Vaillant home system boiler - hot water only mode.

I thought as much, thanks guys really appreciate the prompt response. They use a contractor called Rolec who came over today and are convinced this is how it works. I was even told it’s a display from a combi-boiler which I quickly dismissed as I know that’s not the case. Could it simple be...

Vaillant home system boiler - hot water only mode.

Hi Guys So its a new build house (frowns lol) - moved in last year, just realised when I switch the boiler to hot-water mode only using mode on the boiler. You can see the valve moving upstairs but the boiler will not fire up. In both heating and hot-water mode, all works fine. The guys from...
