    Remove or level up

    As the title says, I have an old fireplace base in the room which is about 2-3mm above the floorboards. Is it better to level the stone/cement to the level of the boards(mucho dust , noise), or use floor levelers, and if so which are the best ones. Chris

    tying into Cast Iron Soil Stack

    I want to make a new run for a new WC and the soil stack is cast iron. Is it best to use a cast iron access branch or is PVC ok? I also want to use PVC for my run pipe.

    screws for ceramic valves

    I recently bought a pair of 1/2"ceramic valves with a 7.6mm spline but now find the grub screw that holds the handle in place on the cold tap too small. Looked all over for one to fit. Got me stumped. I live in N London. Can anyone help, either with a shop or online store etc.

    Capping Gas Lines

    I am going to be moving a kitchen from one room to another, which means capping off excisting water and gas line. Do I need to get the gas board in to cap the gas line or just go ahead myself. I will be using compression fittings to do the sealing and not soldered.
