CERTIFICATE OF OWNERSHIP- A or B

Thank you all for taking time to reply - it has helped. To answer one question above ‘Why does your site plan include………’ I asked the same and was advised (as per Jed’s post) applications should include a red line around all land relating to the application. Also - I think I misunderstood the...

CERTIFICATE OF OWNERSHIP- A or B

Thanks Blup. So looks like you think I need to raise Certificate B. As I’m ‘serving notice’ to same council that I’m applying to - do I really need to do it separately and 21 days in advance. Could I not just attach the notice form to the application with my plans - do it once. I guess the 21...

CERTIFICATE OF OWNERSHIP- A or B

Hi Forum, Grateful of some advice please re my Householder Planning Application. I’m about 90% done using the Planning Portal - it’s not been too bad at all. Then I got to the very last section/ last question - CERTIFICATION. First pass - thought easy; I own it so it’s a simple Certificate A...

Extension - seconded zoned gas boiler

    Thank you all for your advice; it’s been very helpful. I’ve had an attempt at estimating the spare capacity of 60E at 17.58kw. 1x Double 60h x 16w / no fins 1,750 Watts 1x Double 60h x 95w / no fins 1,050 Watts 1x Single 60h x 175w / no fins 1,470 Watts 1x Single 60h x 80w / no fins 735 Watts...

Extension - seconded zoned gas boiler

Thank you - that’s good to know that I have some spare capacity. As a matter of interest, is the second zoned boiler and under floor option just too complicated to be worth the trouble and bother. Best D

Extension - seconded zoned gas boiler

I was thinking one large rad or two smaller ones but I haven’t ruled out an under floor system if that would help. (I thought the 60E was 15kw ?) D

Extension - seconded zoned gas boiler

Thanks Reply. No, I’m afraid I don’t yet have that info just yet. I haven’t progressed the design to that point / level of detail. It’s early days but I’d still like to understand the option space. Best D

Extension - seconded zoned gas boiler

Hi forum; grateful of a steer on my options here. Situation is that I’m adding a single story extension (50m^2) to a fairly old bungalow. The extension will be double glazed on two sides and have a vaulted ceiling. Its a ‘modern build’ so I’m hoping despite the ceiling and large glass area, not...

Bypass radiators (I think) and their Btu

Thanks for reply / advice. Have had a bit of a closer look in airing cupboard. And I also have a bypass (15mm connection between the 22mm supply and returns) as well as the directly plumbed on two rads. So, I guess I’m ok to fit TRVs on these two. Cheers D

Bypass radiators (I think) and their Btu

Hi forum - grateful of some advice please. I have a conventional vented central heating system - fitted from when the house was built some 30 years ago. I want to change the rads in the bathroom and shower room for some nice modern column radiators. I have used an online BTU estimator for the...

Tile Trims - unbranded; any good ?

Hi. Has anyone tried or could recommend somewhere for unbranded tile trim. Looking to buy some polished or milled finish bevelled edge. The usual one or two tile shop brands are expensive so wondered if the online unbranded worth a try. Thanks D.

Setting new pan on Amtico floor

Okay - didn't realise that. Will probably use a Dow Corning from Screwfix. Have you ever tried an acrylic for this type of use. D

Setting new pan on Amtico floor

We are not Lardy-a so will give the silicone a try. CT1 adhesive may be a bit too permanent for my liking. Thanks D

Setting new pan on Amtico floor

The flooring is on a concrete base. There is 6mm latex screed. The strips are then glued down as laid. It would need drilling and plugging before it could be screwed. It's not an issue just asking if necessary. It's a downstairs cloak so will not see too much traffic. D

Setting new pan on Amtico floor

Hi. Grateful of some advice. Just about to fit new CC pan onto new Amtico floor. Floor laid first so no cut out - continuous flooring under pan. Cistern will have two screws retaining to wall. Floor nice and flat (latex levelling screed before flooring). I am wondering do I need the two...

Basin hangers - should I use single fix slot for adjustment.

Hi all. About to fit Ideal Standard corner basin; fairly small and compact 340mm x 340mm. Planing on wall hangers only - I have attached picture of hangers. I have dry lined walls so will be fitting with wooden blocks to give solid fixing. My question for the forum; would I be best to use...
