i have joined up the two wires that lead to the thermostat as i aint got a room stat, the boiler fires up then goes out , only fires up on the central heating and hot water button switched on , it dont fire up on the hot water switch only any further remedy ideas appreciated

just fixed the heat exchanger on boiler it was leaking badly due to being fitted loose so took it off and refitted so leak is now sorted, further inspection i noted the water pump connections where weeping water so i have taken the pump of cleaned up the threads and hey presto the boiler is not...

can i use two straight 15 mill compression fittings to extend the pipe by 1 metre in lenghth to connect a lpg bottle to a gas water boiler, and if so are they different from the standard compression fitting for 15mill hot and cold water

i have a 20mm olive which fits on to a old water pipe, can i use this along with a 22mm straight compression fitting with ptfe tape to make a lasting watertight seal and join up the pipework to enable me to continue with modern metric copper pipe

just bought a secondhand combi from uk to replace my old one im assured it is in excellent working order and is arriving with flue fitting wall brackets etc-- if it dont work then we stay cold my old combi is in a purpose built brick cabinet built on to the out side of our country cottage...
