    Where do I stand?.......

I had a handyman type geezer come round to do some guttering jobs for me today, and I showed him the patio. He was gobsmacked at how bad it was. Uneven, wobbly, not straight, and the 'grouting' is like powder, and will not last one winter he reckons. He told me not to pay anymore and the...

    Bathroom light nightmare!

No because the lights still did not work, so I thought it couldnt be a fuse problem. I didnt have a multimeter and all the fuses looked intact. (They are like normal plug fuses in plastic holders)

    Where do I stand?.......

TBH I know its a rubbish job, but I want it resolving. My initial post was to ask can I just tell them to bugger off, and get someone else in to do it again, or will I still have to pay for this mess?

    Bathroom light nightmare!

I am just trying to see wether or not it is wired correctly. I will tidy it all up at the end! I think the burning was due to close proximity to bulb as you say.

    Where do I stand?.......

The grouting seems to be very sandy and dry. I had a patio done in the back garden 3 years ago (but cant rem who I had done it) and the grouting was very wet, like cement. This is like semi wet sand. Ive just been out to the patio, and some of the loose slabs seem to be settled, but it...

I got a dodgy firm in to do some work for me in the garden. Cut some trees back. Put up some fencing (10 panels) and lay a patio. They quoted me £450 trees, £650 Patio and £1000 fencing, all 'cash'. I paid them £1000 up front. They have done the fencing, and all is well. They have...

Right guys , heres the situation. I now know what I said originally was incorrect. Apologies. After reading the post with the link to the diagram (thanks) I got wind of what I had to do. I now have three cables from the ceiling roof, each with 3 wires. The three red live wires go...
