aqualisa midas stiff valve

The flow valve became very stiff to turn. I unscrewed the cap and was surprised to see it's a normal 1/2" tap unit with a rubber washer. Aqualisa sell a replacement for £15, however I had a disc ceramic unit so I put that in and the mixer is now better than new as it only requires a quarter...
