The flow valve became very stiff to turn.
I unscrewed the cap and was surprised to see it's a normal 1/2" tap unit with a rubber washer.
Aqualisa sell a replacement for £15, however I had a disc ceramic unit so I put that in and the mixer is now better than new as it only requires a quarter turn for full flow, turns easily and doesn't drip.
These valves are available online for £3.49 delivered, search for "brass ceramic disc tap valve quarter turn cartridge". There are several sizes available so make sure you order the right size.
I'm surprised that a quality British manufacturer like Aqualisa would use such an old valve.
