Vaillant Ecotec 937 plus - Flu fan constantly on, LCD dead, No heating or hot water - Common fault or not?
Had a short power cut earlier and when the power came back on, it looks like my Vaillant Ecotec 937 plus boiler died. My educated guess is either when the power went out or when the power came back on, the PCB on my boiler died, as now it is completely unresponsive (LCD dead, no heating or hot...- eveares

Socket Tester - Open Hot (Live) Reading
OK, so I'm probably as daft as a brush (hence the username), but... I have a socket tester (TackLife from Amazon) that has 3 lights to give various readings for sockets, i.e. 'correct', 'open ground', etc. Now for 'Open Hot (Live)' the light combination is er - no lights. Doesn't this seem to...- Basil_the_Brush

Potterton Profile 50e not firing/no sound
Hey everybody, so recently my boiler has started giving a hard time. I went out the other day (mind you it was extremely cold) and when i came back the boiler wasnt working as good. The downstairs rad were cold and upstairs were just about warm but still had flowing hot water through the taps...- bobsingh
