1 cold radiator

Turn both valves fully anticlockwise, bleed the rad and if still no joy, read the Sticky regarding balancing......be lucky!
John :)

Thanks, I have turned both valves fully anticlockwise, turned the little screw at the top and a trickle of water came out no air at all.

Off the the Wiki thanks.

Hello again,

read the WIKI but i think this is too dificult for me to do.

I did notice the CH pump (Grundfos Selectric ups 15 50) was set to speed 2 out of 3 so I have turned it up to 3, so far no heat to the RAD, should I see this straight away?

Thanks,
Conbrue.

As a first step turn off all the other working radiators and see if this one heats up.

Hello, did that a while ago the cold rad warmed up but a couple of the other rads started to leak just a little so I quickly set them back.

I have closed the lock shield on 1 of the other rads but the others have a screw so you cant turn them, do I just loosen the screw then turn the valve?

Sorry for being a numpty.

Thanks.

You don't need to turn them off at the lockshield valve at this stage. What is at the other end - TRVs? You can turn them off there as it is only to check the towel rail is working. It should heat up quickly with the others off.

Hello,

I turned them all of by the TRV's before and 2 started leaking a little, is that normal?

From the fact that you have a speed changeable pump, I suspect, but can't be certain, that you have a traditional, non-combi, system with an indirect hot water cylinder.

If that's the case, its possible that the bathroom radiator is plumbed off the coil to the cylinder, in which case it will only be on while the hot water is being heated.

Hello guys, got a plumber in, the pipe under the floor was double twisted!!!

We now have a warm bathroom, thanks
