I need to reroute the pipe from our oil tank to the location of a new oil boiler.
Can this be done in plastic or does it have to be copper?

what's the compelling reason for the switch?
If it's above ground it must be done in copper. Joints must be compression or flared with appropriate inserts used, and sealed with OilSeal/Heldite or similar oil safe sealant. No underground joints are permitted without being in an inspection chamber. There was a plastic pipe available called Qual-oil for a while, but only approved for below ground use
Qual-oil is discontinued I think.
Correct we had a lot of difficulty getting inserts few weeks ago to alter an existing line.
Better hang on to the ones I've got in the van then...or put them on eBay for £5 each
No reason to change.. Just thought it might be easier to use a different product as I don't have a bender for 10mm copper.....
