Is it an easy job for a DIY'er to go from 10mm to 15mm? Ideally I'd like to strip back the microbore and get copper in throughout but we're not in a position to yet.

Yes - you just fit a reducer inside the compression fitting.

What is the reason you want to change ?

I'm not a plumber and have limited knowledge/experience with central heating, however, 10 mm microbore tends to come on a reel or in a coil whereas 15mm copper is usually straight lengths, sometimes as much as 3 metres long.
To follow the same route as the microbore will involve lifting floorboards and possibly chasing wall plaster. It may also involve cutting bigger notches/drilling bigger holes in joists.
