I've got a Duravit cistern which comes with a compression joint for 10mm pipe on its base. I'm wanting to connect it to the 1/2" female thread of a flexible hose (braided stainless steel type).

How should I do it?

I'm thinking - short section of 10mm pipe to 10mm/15mm reducer (compression fitting) with the flexible hose screwed directly to the reducer.

Is there any way around using some 10mm pipe? Like can you get a reducer fitting that will screw directly onto the male thread on the cistern (size ?) and provide a 1/2" male thread for the flexible pipe?

Ah, right. I can now see if replace the 15mm to 1/2" flexible hose with a 15mm to 3/8" flexible hose then I'm sorted.
