Rushing to complete a job, grabbed bottom of planer - "I've got absolutely no idea why I did this" Drove to hospital, all car parks full "brilliant" found parking attendant, I'm losing a bit to much blood mate, don't worry there reserved spaces for the injured - Happy Days.
X Ray, Anti-Biotics, Tetanus, Stitches.Straight back to work, picked up planer and carried on.

Don't Rush.

Did similar around 15 years ago. The inside of my left hand index finger still feels numb and tingly when I squeeze it

I did the same thing with a mains powered hedge trimmer. I was so intent on not cutting the cable that I sliced a couple of my fingers instead. I only use battery powered trimmers these days

Done it twice ! you'd think I'd learn .
Left the gouge in the floor to remind me not to pick one up again .
The last one was during covid ,so standing in a line with a blood soaked tea towel wrapped around it at hospital and a nurse asked me
did I think my trip to A&E was necessary.

Obviously she thought the tea-towel was doing a splendid job.

Sliced deep into finger tip with a new router bit that was ultra sharp. Finger tips don’t seem to stop bleeding I guess it’s the nerve endings need a good supply of blood
