1st Feb 25% tariff on Mexico + Canada, 10% on China

i would have thought mexican president would have known and replied but we already have the ten thousand there instead of ok we will send ten thousand
You should know all about this.

It's just how it's worded. He didn't win anything but the headlines say he did

what is vague about it ?
And what the mexican president wouldnt want to publicise everything so they could claim victory over trump ?
Have you heard about diplomacy and negotiations, and leaving space for somebody to save face.

She played a blinder

I notice you didn't address the point
The point was that the poster made some delusional comment, while posting a link that said something rather different.

As a reminder the action was on you to show how America is now worse off. All I can see so far is more delusional anti trump Jiba-Jaba

You really are clueless about diplomacy!
yeah of course trump has conned the entire world press with there trump victory headlines .
jesus if canada and mexico thought they had the upper hand they would not have agreed and just left their sanctions against the US up

Import export of goods is fairly balanced but we have a something like a 70 or 80 billion surplus on servces.

I was reading last night that the UK and US figures show different things. The US figures show that we have a small overall deficit with them, so those are the ones we are adopting in negotiations!

I have read two newspapers this morning discussing the confusion and ambiguity about whether these are new troops. If the statement had said "We are sending an additional 10,000 troops to supplement the 15,000 troops already stationed on the border" then that would have cleared it up. I am sure that, instead, the statement was agreed to be deliberately ambiguous.

You need to look at the context. Trump told all sorts of ridiculous lies and made all sorts of ridiculous promises as part of his election campaign. One of these was to put 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico from day one. In respect of Canada, this was to combat a purely fictitious border crisis. Only 0.2% of fentanyl was coming from Canada. Think about that and it might all start to make more sense in your little noggin.

Interesting would you like to put a link to that election campaign promise
