EDIT Lordy- just looked at the weights. 69 kg for the 2.6kvA, 89 kg for the 4kvA.

Yup - 2-man job for the small one, and that's on the limit.

(maybe create a nest in the van with an exhaust port)

Put it on wheels and trundle it down a ramp? Trundling back up would be fun.

Well ta for your research and boo, the sums don't work out. More and more circuits are laying on power (Croft and Cadwell Park are the only 2 I race at regularly that don't have mains for everyone), 2 weekends at Croft and 3 at Cadwell gives me a fuel spend per year of £125 (at current prices) so 5 years = £625 plus petrol gennie that I can pick up = £350 plus 10 oil changes at £10 each still undercuts the base cost of the diesel gennie.Shame......

Look on eBay for an old Lister-engined one that you can run on diesel, kerosene, heating oil, the old chip fat from the Mrs Miggins vans...
