Hi folks, I have recently been getting some decorating done and the guy has loosed a few connections from some switches.

Can anyone help with where the loose black wire should go?

The 3 switch controls 3 lighting circuits from 1 switch only.

That metal switch plate must be earthed ,and it isn't !!
Are there earth conductors present in the mounting box ?
The black wire needs to be in one of the two bottom terminals that are not occupied ( the ones between the red wires ,left and right bottom of your pic) probably marked L1 and L2.

First of all, see the words circled in green? Read it and take action.

The black wire will go into either of the two terminals arrowed orange, the difference between them is the switch up or down for on.

...and if there isn't an earth conductor, replace the metal switch for a plastic one! If that that wasn't obvious ;)
