My Dewent Macdee Metro 3 part syphon range is failing to flush unless I vigorously crankthe handle. This is either a washer or a plastic valve failure. I can see a replacement on screwfix for £4.99 which seems a good price just to refit new instead of repair. I know some people say you can replace the plastic from a spare bit around the home but for the price it isn’t worth bothcing

The question is, will this be easy to fit without taking the whole top of the toilet off and should it be the right size diameter as I have no way of measuring the width ? If anyone knows of the model I have and can confirm the size I will order from Screwfix. Thanks

You can get the correct plastic diaphragm from Amazon - £ 1,50.

Thanks but I made a plastic piece to fit the old that was perished. Works a treat now.
