because they are 3 phase, not 3 phase and neutral

between any phases is 415 betweeen phase and neutral is 230

if you swap any 2 phases on a 3 phase motor it will run the other way

The Neutral is there in the complete 3 phase system to carry any imbalance of current between phases. As a 3 phase motor, under normal conditions, carries a balanced 3 phase current then a neutral is not required ;)
