5 inch circular porthole oppertunity to wildlife?

next to the top of the window in the front room, i thought of making a porthole out of it and attracting wildlife to it. it was drilled for a vent at sometime and forgotten about by my landlord, i keep the top of a dvd container to plug the hole, it fits exactly, the transparancy of which gave me the idea of introducing some bees or a bird to nest inside.. theres a nice little pad there.

any ideas gratefully received
