Hope someone can help, i have been asked to wire a 230v 90KVA Transformer in a small workshop, i am assuming the max current will be 39 amps. is this correct. just trying to work out the cable to wire it in and the isolator size etc.

4.3 amps per KW ? Times ninety = ?

What is the load at the output of the Xer?

90kVA? I wouldn't exactly call that small! Power factor and other considerations aside, that's nearly 400Amps on the primary 230v side! Use it on a domestic supply and you'll probably take the neighborhood out just from the initial inrush current when switching it on.

Unless, of course, you meant 9kVA?
