This is a painfully simple question I'm sure, but I am reluctant to start levering at plastic components as I am worried I will break it.

My Hydramax shower is dripping slowly, sounds likely that its to do with the cartridge from what I've read.
You can hear a slight hissing noise if you hold your ear close to the temp controller.
This shower was installed in a new build house and I've got no documentation for it.
Looks like its HM.BIV.01LPT model based on the hydramax site.

I've prised off the cap in the middle of the temperature control knob but cant see what to do next to remove the cover and get to the cartridge.
I expected to see some screws to undo.

Images attached show what it looks like.

If anyone can give any help on how to get this removed to access the cartridge then that would be great.

I know this is an ancient thread .. but it comes up when you search.

The answer is that the control knob is clipped on - very few of the Aqualisa / Hydramax ones have a screw.

I removed it by using a medium wide chisel to open the gap and gently lever it off - working round. Once you've overcome the initial pressure of the clip it should come off easily.

However I've found that the 2 bottom screws holding the cartridge in have rusted away. Currently trying to remove them.

It may well be that I'll hacksaw off the heads and then should have enough left to remove with grips???
