Hi there,

I was after some new double-glazzing with Georgian bar, but because I live on a road I wanted it triple-glazzed.

My installer said they could not get them triple-glazzed in that style but we could have accoustic laminate instead, so I went with that.

The installer started fitting them yesterday and a couple seemed to crack rather easily on installation. These will obviously be replaced by him, but I am concerned that I am going to have future problems with these, the installer assures me I won't.

Have I bought a dud?

TIA

Seems a little strange???maybe the double glazed units were a little too thick for the frames or they had been damaged during delivery.
You should be getting a gaurantee so you are covered but i cant imagine you will have trouble after they are fitted succesfully.
If you can compare the thickness of the old units with the new ones could be 2mm diff which would cause a very tight sqeeze but maybe still fit!!!
