hi does any one know why a bell sybol is flashing on my adt alarm panel, it wont set

hi its a ademco quite an old one green backlit lcd panel

theres a green led on pcb think its were the bell connects

That is an "accord"
The bell is connectedat the bottom right, the connections near the led are for power and the keypad.
the battery appears to be 5 years or older so it should be changed
I am going to guess you are not telling us the whole story, come on, what have you been doing? (you have opened it before havent you.)
The reason i ask is becuse there appears to be no tamper spring on the "black buttion" near the bottom of the pcb. they dont fall off unless you open the lid and it then gives you a tamper fault, which is what you have.............

when i moved in got a alarm engineer to change code and tamper prong was held on by blue tac so he by passed it. it was working for 3 years since then the symbol came on and now wont reset ive metered battery and its fine however if i can get it going i'll replace it

i suspect however he bypassed it has failed.
any idea how to sort it keep phoning him but he never turns up notice there is resistors in some of the terminals as a bypass, even one the lids of or you maualy press the little black button on the board it wont set and the bell is` flashing
