Advice for Danfoss FP715 Si

Hello ,
I am hoping someone can advice me and this is a minor problem.
Have a Danfoss FP715 Si programmer for Central Heating and Hot water .
This stopped working for some reason and over Summer we had switched Hot water to manual.
Now, I tried to reset and re program the FP715 Si - and the CH and HW is not being displayed .
Am I missing a step in my 're progamming' or is this a fault ?

these are a poor programmer for faults

sounds silly but turning the power off and back on can reset these

common fault is screen goes blank
