I'm trying to plumb our washing machine in at our new house. I've attached some pictures, and I assumed that the machine pipe needs to go over the yellow pipe, which is fitted under our sink. However the waste pipe from the machine doesn't seem to fit over the yellow pipe. Am I missing a connector, or do I need to replace the existing fitting or pipe? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

Looks like it will fit. Could warm up the rubber end in boiling water then fit it with a jubilee clip. It only has to go for the first 20mm or so, I would also rotate the yellow fitting upwards.

Is the machines hose a loose fit ?
Or is it too small to go onto the yellow inlet ?
As said above it should point upward ,and the hose from machine should enter high up ,then point down into the yellow inlet.
