Hi,

Was after some advice, in the process of buying a property and have had a survey that states the bungalow has asbestos sarking (underfelt), we are worried about health implications, and are wanting to complete a loft extension, can it remain there and be sealed in or will it have to be removed? Also what costs are involved? And will we have problems finding builders interested in working in the loft?

I appreciate your advice and time.

Cheers
Nick

Asbestos/cement sarking  -I`ve seen a picture of a roof under tile covering like that - in an old book from an asbestos company . it` s like corrugated . Or maybe they used sheets of flat asbestos /cement board  Not somewhere I would consider buying  Asbestos/cement soffit - now that`s a different issue -
