I'm about to put 200mm depth of cross lay in my loft. I am probably (almost certainly) going to use Thermafleece CosyWool which does not come in 200mm depth rolls. My question is, would you do two lots of 100mm or one 50mm and 150mm over the top of that? I'm thinking it will probably be easier to do a load of 50 and then the 150. I'm also thinking that it will be slightly more efficient to do the two layers of cross lay perpendicular to each other although I'm also thinking that the 12m2 of flooring I want to put up there may stop that being an idea. As you may have gathered, I have not done this before, I'm not even sure if I should get the cross lay up there and ready before I get the flooring materials and then do it all at the same time or put the cross lay down and then do the flooring. Currently there is 100mm depth of CosyWool between the joists which a guy I know did for me as he was out of work at the time (place had no insulation when I bought it).
