Wondering if using 6x2 in the loft was a good idea, or will the extra weight of the timbers be an issue??

House inherited from me Ma, it's 1 owner from new :) (She lived all her life here) and is cira 1957 Semi classic bay window.
Has 180x50mm Purlins running the width of the house.
Ceiling joists are 75mmx45mm @ random 400-440mm spacing.

I have put 175x45mm C16's perpendicular to the joists screwed to.
Also sistered to the purlins with some noggins in between (see diagram).
The C16's run from supporting wall in the middle of the house to the timber that is on the wall plate??
PIR at 75mm between rafters and 150mm between C16
Then full length 18mm OSB Perpendicular to the C16

Gonna use for light storage, keeping to the recommended 25KG per m2
Not using it as a living space.

I have the odd box that is heavier but was planning to put them along the supporting wall area.

TBH unsure if I have done right??? Advice on this

You've not done it right, you've gone totally over the top!
Most lofts without any modification are full of carp that weighs well over 25kg/m².
Go ahead.

OK.. By over the top ya mean materials? Or not done it right as ya a fooking idiot!!

The C16 were sitting around getting in the way either they got used or got dumped!! and the OSB was from a ***** invasion we had on site where we had to board up the windows cause the kids kept firing BB's to see if they could smash though!

Only quoted 25kg/m² because that's the normal ya read on most sites.. Was hoping for more.. :)

I don't understand what you've done. Purlins are up in the slopey bits with the rafters so don't understand the sistering. Your new timbers seem to be too short for the span - if the idea was to make a structural joint of 2 shorter lengths of timber you need to provide details of the connection. Also a bit confused about the wall plate on the party wall?

Take some photo's - a picture tells a thousand words

I mean that you don't need any of that.
Lofts have for centuries been overloaded with carp and survived.
As long as you don't park a car up there, you'll be fine.
