Almost a year ago dishwasher plug melted around fuse area but did not trip the MCB or RCD. See video.

Plug and socket were replaced.

Now dishwasher is tripping RCD but socket and plug look fine.

Eventually moved dishwasher to different socket on different RCD, no trip.

Moved back again to original socket, no trip.

Any ideas?

maybe the dishwasher is giving a fair bit of earth leakage and when combined with other items plugged in on the same circuit, it is causing the RCD to trip.

As said combination of many items, plugging the dishwasher in else where likely warmed up elements, and driven out a little moisture, unfortunately the three tools used, to test earth leakage, the clamp-on ammeter, the installation tester, and RCD tester are all expensive £35, £35 and £70 for around cheapest I have found, so not really a DIY job.
